Until now, "HRog Wage Now" has provided indices exclusively for full-time jobs. However, starting from March 8, 2024, we are expanding our offerings to include the Wage Index and Job Postings Index for part-time jobs as well.
For these newly introduced "Part-time" indices, we offer two distinct series: one series utilizes data from both private job posting sites (i.e., those not owned by the government) and the government-operated "Hello Work Internet Service" (hereinafter referred to as "Hello Work"), while the other series exclusively relies on private job posting sites as its source data. This approach is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the labor market, capturing aspects that may be overlooked in official statistics.
Below are the change details.
Data
- Addition of "Employment Type" column:
Added a column to indicate whether the job posting is for "Part-time" (new series) or "Full-time"
- Addition of "Job Posting Publisher" column:
Added a column to specify if the source data includes both private job posting sites and "Hello Work," labeled as "Public & Private" in the dataset, or if it includes only private job posting sites, labeled as "Private Only."
NOTE: The "Part-time" indices have both “Public & Private” & “Private Only” as options for the “Job Posting Publisher” column, while the existing “Full-time” indices are currently limited to the “Public & Private” option for the column
- Addition of "Hourly Wage" as a new data point to "Wage Type" column for "Part-time" indices
Dashboard
- Addition of "Part-time" charts to the "Time Series View" tab
Added charts to visualize two key indicators of the newly added "Part-time" indices to the "Time Series View" tab. The top right chart visualizes the Wage Index (actual amounts) over time, and the bottom right chart visualizes the Job Postings Index (level) over time.
- Addition of "Data Availability" tab
Added a "Data Availability" tab, making it easy for users to see the availability of data. This new feature allows you to check for data availability across various combinations of attributes, such as index types with their frequencies, and prefectures paired with occupation categories.
- Addition of "Employment Type" and "Job Posting Publisher" columns to the "Custom Data Export" tab
Added filters for the new "Employment Type" and "Job Posting Publisher".
